You know those places that make you feel out of time & place, right? The ones that make you feel comfortable, relaxed and peaceful outside your own home.
The word lunatic comes from its Latin origins lunaticus which meant either “moonstruck” or “of the moon”. The term was first used to refer to those who had epilepsy and madness since they were thought to be caused by the moon, and to describe the mentally ill as dangerous (which was irrational, and will be another post’s topic). Then, astrologers used the term to mention neurological and psychological diseases. It is also known that Aristotle and some other philosophers whom I can’t name right now, thought that full moon and its light were connected to bipolar disorders. The light caused by full moon was seen as the main cause for people’s sleep deprivations.
I obviously use social media constantly, even to share this post. It is beneficial in many ways, joyful and fun to see a hint of other people’s lives, I’ll accept that. But everything is fun and games until you start to compare your life with those pretty images. Nowadays, we stopped using social media to socialise, we use it to lurk into people’s lives, and get jealous. Social media have become something about sociology and psychology, more than technology. If you are one of those few people who are fully satisfied with your life and do not need to compare yourself to others, I am really happy for you. But I’m not like that. keep going
Drink more water. Seriously. I can’t stress this enough but you should be drinking lots and lots of water.
Just like you, I heard about the benefits of drinking water for my whole life. But the thing is, only after so many years of not caring about those, I now am aware how much it truly can benefit you. For a couple of weeks now, I’ve been tracking my water intake and try to drink as much as I can. And it seriously helped, with any and every little thing.
As the flowers start to bloom, my favourite season finally came.
Having a ghostly white skin, I have always hated the sunny weather since it instantly burned my skin and turned me into a lobster. Ever since I can remember, from spring to fall, every single day I have had to put on sunscreen, which I hate. Probably, I am one of the most anti-sun people you can ever see. So, as you can understand by now, I am not going to talk about tanned skin or how much I appreciate the physical benefits of the sun. This post is going to be about the one thing I love about the sunlight that just makes me love spring.
Ever since the beginning of humanity, the meaning of “self” is being debated. If you haven’t thought of it yet, I assure you, some day you will. I have always been someone that felt a lot, saw a lot and understood a lot. I knew there were questions that were hunting me; but I was never able to give a name to them.
Now, I know what those questions are: What am I & why am I the way I am?
I wonder if my “self” is created through forced thoughts from the outside world, or if it is just my soul. Am I living the life I truly want, or am I living the life society wants me to live?
